Navigating my dog’s lymphoma diagnosis has been one of the hardest experiences my family has faced, but the team at Veterinary Associates has made this journey more bearable through their compassion, professionalism, and unwavering support. From the very beginning, I felt genuinely cared for — not just as a client, but as a worried dog mom. The staff never rushed me into decisions. Instead, they provided clear, honest information about our options and supported whatever path we chose. That kind of respect and empathy meant the world to us. What truly touched me was the personal care from the doctor, who even took time out of his weekend to call and check in. That level of dedication and kindness is rare and deeply appreciated. The office staff has also been incredibly thoughtful and helpful every step of the way, making sure we felt supported and informed. Veterinary Associates isn’t just a clinic — they’ve been a source of comfort during a very difficult time. My family and I are so grateful for everything they’ve done for us and our beloved pup.

On both visits with Dr. Hanley, he demonstrated strong preconceived negative views about Rottweilers. He spoke condescendingly to my husband and I, as if we were inexperienced pet owners, and appeared unfriendly and fearful of our 14-week-old puppy. Dr. Hanley repeatedly claimed Rottweilers are not suitable family pets and are inherently unfriendly, while pushing for extensive immediate behavioral training. We explained that basic training was already scheduled and that our puppy’s vocalizations were the breed-specific “Rottie Rumble”—a form of communicative “talking,” not aggression. Although our reserved puppy (who is far from perfect) became agitated during the visits, this behavior has only occurred with Dr. Hanley and never in similar situations with others. His limited breed knowledge and hostile stance left us feeling dismissed, prompting us to seek a new veterinarian before even leaving the appointment.

Over the past couple years I have been taking my three dogs to this facility. I have at least spent a couple thousand at this veterinary office on my animals (especially since my lab had to get surgery on his leg). I am in disbelief about how rude and abrupt the front desk staff is. Very upsetting and very unprofessional.
